Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mins Bot desktop application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Mins Bot ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Mins Bot is a general-purpose AI agent that runs locally on your desktop. It can browse the web, manage files, connect to messaging platforms, and execute tasks through extensible skills. The Service operates locally; we do not store your files, messages, browsing activity, or credentials on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

2. Eligibility and Your Account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for any accounts, credentials, or API keys you connect to Mins Bot, and for all actions the Service performs under your authority.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or the terms of any third-party service you connect to.
  • Infringe on intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Send spam, malware, or engage in harassment, fraud, or abuse.
  • Attempt to disrupt, disable, or reverse-engineer the Service except to the extent permitted by law.
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security controls of third-party services.
  • Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or sexually explicit involving minors.

You are solely responsible for the actions Mins Bot performs on your behalf, including any automated browsing, messages sent, files modified, or API calls made.

4. Third-Party Services

The Service can connect to third-party services (including Google, Slack, Discord, email providers, AI model providers, and others) at your direction. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, their content, or any fees they may charge.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service for your personal or internal business use. You retain all rights to your own content; we do not claim ownership of anything you process with Mins Bot.

6. AI-Generated Output

Mins Bot may produce output generated by AI models. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it, and for any decisions or actions taken based on it. Do not use the Service for advice where errors could cause harm (medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, etc.) without qualified human review.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR SECURE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to resolve any disputes in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local law gives you a non-waivable right to a different forum.
